Earth Day Event with Wayne Woods Garden Club - 11:00 to 16:00
About this event
Come celebrate Earth Day at your local nature education center with an array of family-friendly activities.
Join us in cleaning up our historic schoolhouse’s gardens and entrance to Mckaig’s Nature Education Center, planting Native plants supplied by Jenkins Arboretum and Wayne Woods Garden Club, and bring your used garden tools for a kid-friendly, recycling craft.
Participate in a mindful meditation, yoga session in the woods, or walk the trail up to Monkey Rock and back to be reminded of the great connection between ourselves and our planet.
Visitors are welcome to come for the day, or pick an event at their leisure.
Refreshments included. Event is Rain or Shine!

Event Schedule *
11:00 am - Spring clean-up and Native planting of the gardens around the little Roberts schoolhouse and entrance to McKaig's Nature Center
12:30 pm - Kids recycling craft
1:00 pm - Yoga & Meditation in the Woods
3:00 pm – Walk the trail up to Monkey Rock and back
*Note the designated times for the Kids craft, yoga & meditation, and trail walk are subject to change on day of the event

We look forward to seeing you at Old Roberts Schoolhouse. Please park in the Roberts Elementary School parking lot at 889 Croton Rd. Wayne.
We will supply gloves unless you bring your favorite pair. Safety glasses recommended.
