History Hike - Register via Main Line School Night


Hiking & History at the McKaig Nature Center
This 91-acre natural preserve in Wayne features unspoiled woods, picturesque creeks and abundant wildlife.  Enjoy a moderate level hike of approximately 2 miles through varied terrain.  Along the way, McKaig’s Park Ranger will recount stories of local history that show the connection between a regal princess, a scared local boy worried about being drafted and an 85-year-old political campaign. Trail map including Park highlights included.

Street park in front of Roberts Elementary School, 889 Croton Rd, Wayne and meet at the Cadet trailhead to the left of the school parking lot.
