Step away from daily pressure and experience McKaig’s forest in a new way – through a peaceful 2.5-hour guided nature immersion. Inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku (“Forest Bathing”), this is not about exercise or learning facts, but a mindful experience that invites you to slow down, engage your senses, and let the calming presence of nature support your mind and body.
Forest bathing is a research-supported practice shown to reduce stress hormones, lower blood pressure, and improve mood, focus, and immune function.
Led by Certified Nature & Forest Therapy Guide Karen Richter, you’ll explore the woods through a series of simple, sensory invitations. You’ll leave feeling restored and more deeply connected to yourself and your life. People often describe this as deeply calming, inspiring, and nourishing – physically, emotionally, and spiritually. It’s an unexpected reset for the mind and body.
