Call for Chili Champs! 🌶️🏆
Do you craft GREAT chili? Does your recipe have that secret something that makes taste buds sing? Then it's time to spice up the trails at our 10th Anniversary McKaig 5K Trail Race!
We're inviting all aspiring and seasoned chili masters to enter your award-winning chili in our annual cook-off. This is your chance to showcase your culinary skills and compete for top honors while supporting our beloved Nature Center!
Here's what you need to know:

You bring your best chili in a crock pot with a ladle.

We'll provide the bowls, spoons, and napkins.

Community judges and hungry race participants will determine the ultimate chili champion (racers judge for free!).

The Top 3 winners will receive medals and bragging rights!

Not a chef but love chili? You can help choose the champion! $5 donations will be requested at the cook-off to taste and cast your vote.

Kids Race: 8:45 am
Monkey Rock Miler: 9:05 am
5k Trail Race: 9:00 am
Chili Cook-off tasting after race.
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
5 kilometers of technical trails. Hilly and windy with several stream crossings and switchbacks. As beautiful as it as challenging. A great course with a very worthy cause!
AMENITIES: Race t-shirt, age group medals, prizes for top male and female overall and age group finishers. A lively post-race food and drink festival area with games and music.
PRIZES: Subject to Change: Medals will be awarded.
PURPOSE: To benefit education programs and environmental preservation.
DIRECTIONS: McKaig Nature Education Center is conveniently located adjacent to Roberts Elementary School, only minutes from 276, 476, 202 and 422 at 889 Croton Road, Wayne Pa 19087.
