Each year, all of the work done, improvements made, and inspiration gathered comes together at McKaig Nature Center's annual event. The event serves as a time to celebrate the year's accomplishments, gather new ideas for the future and, finally, gain support to allow those ideas to become a reality.
For those who are well acquainted with the Nature Center, the trails and our events, please join us to continue our efforts.
For those who are new to McKaig and all that it offers, the annual event is the perfect time to gain familiarity with a neighborhood wonder.
Yet again, the trails will be lit by luminaries for a special, magical, twilight tour. Join us to hear more about whats new at McKaig as well as what we have in store for the years ahead! Bid on your favorite silent auction item, play lawn games, listen to some live music, sign up to volunteer or simply enjoy the lovely outdoor evening as we present

Speakers & Other Events:
The annual event also functions as a time to review this year's accomplishments and fundraise for next year's endeavors.
This year, we will focus on McKaig Nature Education Center's goals; what we have done in the last year and our hopes for the future. Our guest speaker, Kristin Gifoli, a teacher at Roberts Elementary School next door, will discuss the impact of experience on learning and how McKaig's Park has helped.
This year will also feature the live music of local artist Stephen Kleiman. Kleiman plays multiple instruments and has been teaching others to do so for over 15 years!
Luminary Lit Trail Walk:
Always a favorite, this year's event will again feature a twilight tour of the trails themselves, marked with flameless luminaries.
The walk is not mandatory, but highly encouraged! While the walk is over the smoothest part of the trails, we do encourage guests to consider their footware and clothing choices accordingly. As such, the event attire is business casual.
