RACE DAY UPDATE:
Hello all! Race day is approaching and we canβt wait to see everyone! Thank you for being a part of this annual event that provides much needed funds to maintain the park and its programs. Below is the schedule of events and our safety plan. Please pay close attention and feel free to email us at 5k@enjoymckaig.org if you have any questions.
Schedule
7:30- Parking lot/registration opens
8:30- Kids Race
8:40- Monkey Rock Miler
9:00- 5k Start
10am- Awards
Safety Precautions
-There will be no advance packet pickup
-Masks are to be worn up until the race is set to begin. Be prepared to hand your mask to someone or keep it on your person during the race.
-In addition, please practice distancing in the start and registration area at all times
-Following the race, masks are to be put back on leading up to awards.
-When checking in, we will be keeping everyone in line, 6 ft apart.
-The race start will be staggered. We will break you up into approximately 4 groups based on average mile time. The faster groups will go first. As a group is ready to start, they will line up on a tape mark, with a runner taking off every 10 seconds. This race is chip timed.
-The course is set up so that there will be minimum opportunity for racers to cross paths. There will be NO water station on course. Please follow common courtesies and protocols on the course.
-There will be hand sanitizer placed around the festival area

We are excited to announce we will move forward with our highly anticipated, annual McKaig 5K Trail Race and Monkey Rock Miler. Race day is set for Sunday, October 11th and registration is now open (please scroll to bottom of page for registration).
Given the current climate, we know a lot can change before race day, so please stay tuned to our website, Facebook page and emails for any updates. In place of our scheduled 5 year anniversary 5 mile race (moved to next year), we will provide the same great 5K race hundreds of participants have grown to love over the years with added safety measures. Registration limited to the first 125 participants.
We will slowly add sponsors, vendors, and details as they develop, but for now we want to get this event open and get something exciting on your calendars.
If, as things progress, conditions force us to not be able to hold the race, we will offer the following options:
1. Refund your money,
2. Put your registration fee toward next yearβs race or,
3. Donate your entry fee to McKaig in exchange for an annual individual membership.
