"

Consider spending a few hours this year to help maintain our beautiful park.

There are several tasks that require very little time, especially if you are a regular visitor, that would make a huge impact at McKaig.  These volunteer positions can mostly be done on your own schedule.

Trail Boss - report any safety issues, perform minor maintenance and keep trail in order. Text, Email report monthly during season. 1-2 hrs/mo
Rotate educational signs - 3 to 4 times a year 1-2 hrs/quarter
Trail Head Captain - keep in good order the trailhead area - remove overgrowth, keep tidy. 1-2 hrs/mo
Lesser Celandine control - spray in early spring - McKaig will provide spray equipment, herbicide and training. Several helpers needed for 3 hr shift - timing: will start spraying when plants flowering
Board of Director - help shape McKaig's future - 6 to 7 two hour meetings per year + several emails per month.
Bench beautification - clean benches with brush and water - 1 hour quarterly

Sign up by February 14th.

Call, text 484 580-9474 or email Park Ranger Vytas Masalaitis for more details.

Thank you to all the volunteers who continue to make McKaig Nature Center and enjoyable place to visit.
