Hurricane Irene caused some significant damage throughout areas of McKaig Nature Center and also at the Old Roberts Schoolhouse.  Since the UM Park & Historic Foundation relies solely on donations, we need your help!

The estimated repair costs for the Old Schoolhouse for new cellar doors, sump pump with battery, and a commercial dehumidifier is $2,800.  Furthermore, at least $6,300 is needed to start the repairs to the 3 bridges and erosion damage in the park itself.  See below for pictures of the damage and visit here for more information

There is urgency for the repairs, especially at the Old Schoolhouse, rust has started forming on floor supports and evidence that mold and mildew have started to grow in the basement is causing great concern.  Thank you.
