SOLD OUT, REGISTERED GUESTS ONLY Join the McKaig crew to watch the Great American Solar Eclipse. Each registrant will receive NASA approved glasses from American Paper Optics which are required to see the eclipse. A presentation of fun facts, folklore and children's activities will precede going out and viewing the eclipse. McKaig Nature Center has been chosen by NASA as an observation site to help with a study of the Earth's energy systems. Students will participate in gathering data for NASA scientists, they will record air temperature and cloud composition changes during the eclipse. In the case of inclement weather, we will be presenting the NASA feed of the eclipse in the Old Roberts Schoolhouse. Registration closes August 15th or while supplies last. Cost is $5 per person for members (and their guests) and $7 each for Non-Members. Help us by utilizing Paypal if you can, it saves a substantial card fee.
